Now Offering CEREC® Same Day Restorations!

CEREC® is a procedure that allows tooth restorations to be completed in a single visit. CEREC® restorations utilize ceramic tooth-colored materials, making tooth and filling replacement an easier and more attractive solution.

First, our dentists use the advanced CEREC® system to examine your tooth and remaining structure. An anesthetic is applied, then we prepare the tooth for restoration. This includes removing decay and weakened tooth tissue. (Ask us about sedation options if these type of procedures make you nervous!)

Once the tooth is ready, we take an Optical Impression of the prepared tooth. That's where the CEREC® system really gets interesting for patients! The CEREC® impression does not use filling tray and impression materials. The dentist simply places a non-toxic, tasteless powder on your tooth, then uses a camera to create a digital image.

In a minute or two you're all set!

No temporary is placed over the tooth at that point, the CEREC® machine is then used to create the restoration from the digital image, creating a 3D model of your tooth. Within a few minutes the dentist is able to send the design information to a milling machine where a ceramic block matching your tooth shade is used to create a restoration within 10-20 minutes.

The newly created restoration is then fitted, polished and adjusted to a perfect fit and bonded to your tooth. And, you're done! A single visit restoration that looks, fits and functions wonderfully!
